Toyota Music is passionate about connecting the masses with new music and emerging artists all around the country and encouraging everyone to live Toyota’s motto of “Let’s Go Places”.
For Lollapalooza 2017, we tapped Sway Calloway from Sirius XM’s Sway in the Morning for a popup show at Chop Shop in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. He broadcast his radio show live from the venue and also allowed local talent to show their freestyle skills on stage. We then headed Downtown to do Facebook Live interviews from the Toyota Music Den. I live-tweeted and made Facebook posts from both events and was responsible for getting Sway from point A to point B.
At the A3C Music Festival in Atlanta, GA, we teamed up with Slug Agency to create the Toyota Sweet Chick Brunch which celebrated the trailblazing women of hip-hop with a splash of 90’s nostalgia. The brunch was hosted by Angela Yee of nationally syndicated radio morning show, The Breakfast Club. Fun fact, I posted on social media for this event while on an airplane headed to San Francisco to cover Black Enterprise Tech ConneXt.
